SURVEY SHOWS ENVIRONMENT IS HIGH PRIORITY FOR MOST MALTESE

A Public Attitude Survey conducted by MEPA, and which will be published in the coming weeks, has revealed that environmental matters are high on the public’s list of priorities. An impressive 94 per cent of respondents stated that they are actively making an effort to waste less. The main objective of the survey is to keep a finger on the pulse of the general public’s attitude towards various environmental issues.

This is the third survey of its kind to be carried out by MEPA and the findings are used to guide the development of environmental policies.

The results of the PAS survey come hot on the heels of the publication of The Environment Report, which tracks the state of Malta’s environment in a number of different areas including land, sea, air, biodiversity and climate change.

The Environment Report shows that Malta has managed to achieve positive results in a number of key areas.
