Your job at MEPA will highly depend on the field you are working in. Our staff who work in the Planning Directorate deal with planning applications and enforcement issues, whilst staff working within the Environment Directorate are concerned about the island’s flora and fauna, waste management, air pollution, amongst others. Providing support to all MEPA staff is the order of the day for those working within the Corporate Services Directorate. This support comes in the form of information technology, finance, human resources and maintenance to mention a few.
Our staff working within the Chairman’s Office are primarily focused with issues related to complaints from the public, public relations and procedures related to final stages of planning application processing. This section is called Development Control Commission (DCC) where all applications are discussed and decisions are taken at Board level to refuse or accept a planning proposal.
In our people we look for technical expertise, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and a motivation to learn and to take initiative.
