The project "ENTRUST" was funded under the 5th Framework Programme (FP5).

The main objectives of this project were twofold:

1.      To assemble knowledge about the state of art in urban regeneration in Europe; and
2.      To identify successful principles and approaches in promoting and sustaining local partnerships, which could form the base and sustain guidelines for practitioners  as well as policy recommendations.

This project produced explicit guidance to various stakeholders on how to form mixed public-private partnerships in deprived neighbourhoods.

The total budget for the project was €250,000, of which MEPA's allocation was €4,600. MEPA was not a legal partner to this project, but it was part of a local consortium. This project was completed in June 2004.

Within MEPA, the project was coordinated by the Planning Directorate in collaboration with the EU and Multilateral Affairs Unit.

This project has been realised with the
financial assistance of the European Union
