Quality Checking Services for the EEA

MEPA hosts the EEA National Focal Point for the Environment, located within the Information and Communications Technology Unit.

MEPA was awarded the EEA's quality checking process that is aimed at reviewing the Maltese language version of the State of the Environment Report for 2005 as published by the European Environment Agency.

Part B of the SOER 2005 covers the Country Review and is aimed at eliciting country-relevant information with a focus on public-consumption as well as the established scientific community.

The total budget of the project amounted to around €6,500. The project was completed in March 2007.

Within MEPA, the project was coordinated by the Information & Communication Technology Unit with assistance from the EU and Multilateral Affairs Unit.
